 Are you considering relocating to the Raleigh area and wondering if it would be a good fit for the lifestyle that you want to live? Raleigh, North Carolina is a vibrant city with many great neighborhoods, each offering unique advantages, from high end shopping and dining options to close proximity to parks and greenway spaces, along with good schools and a family friendly environment.

Today, we'll explore three of the top places to live in Raleigh, North Carolina. And if you stick with me to the end, I have some groundbreaking news to share with you. Okay, let's go ahead and jump right on in and we're going to start with North Hills. Often referred to as Raleigh's Midtown, North Hills is a bustling area that offers a mix of residential, retail, dining, and entertainment options.

It's an excellent choice for those who enjoy an urban lifestyle. with easy access to amenities. Here you'll find walkable neighborhoods with plenty of activities close by. Personally speaking, when my family and I relocated here from Southern California nearly seven years ago, food and amenities were really important to my family and I.

And spending time in North Hills Raleigh is probably one of our top places to shop and dine. This area is home to North Hills Mall, which is an open air shopping center featuring a mix of national retailers, boutique shops, and specialty stores. For dining, North Hills has a variety of food choices, upscale dining options to casual dining, coffee shops, wine bars.

brunch spots and even kid power where they can make treats. You're sure to fi here. One of the first plan in Raleigh was cowfish. I Sushi and burgers. They even have a sushi roll that combines the two. It's definitely different. You'll have to try it out and let me know for yourself what you think of it right here in the comments.

And if it's someone's birthday, they sing a song, they bang on this huge gong. It's pretty fun and pretty loud. And they also have an awesome fish aquarium that the kids are always drawn to. And I definitely gotta warn ya, the bathroom has some kind of funny but weird talking track that's playing instead of music.

It's definitely an experience. We also love Bar Taco, which is fusion Mexican food and tapas type tacos from Baja fish, shrimp, and even duck quesadillas. And they have some amazing and refreshing beverages, both non alcoholic and spiked. There's too many restaurants to name, but some of the top ones here are Ko's for Asian inspired cuisine, to Vivant's for handmade pastas and wood fired pizzas, to the Capitol Grill for a great steak.

And if you're looking for a nightlife, there's trendy bars and lounges where you can chill. One of our favorites is Level 7 Rooftop Bar. It's a beautiful sight overlooking everything. North Hills in Raleigh, North Carolina is well connected to several beautiful parks and greenway trails. If you love outdoor green spaces and parks as much as we do here, there's plenty to choose from.

Shelley Lake Park offers a serene 53 acre lake surrounded by walking and biking trails. The two mile loop around the lake is perfect for jogging or walking, with scenic views and the water and nature. Here you'll also enjoy kayaking or paddle boating. playgrounds, picnic areas and a community center.

There's also a public art installation, Art on the Trail, which adds an artistic touch. Additionally, the Capital Area Greenway System, which runs throughout Raleigh, includes trails that connect to North Hills, offering residents more options for outdoor activities. These greenways are perfect for morning jogs, evening strolls, or weekend bike rides, which is a family favorite for us.

North Hills is an excellent place for families, thanks in part to its well regarded schools and strong sense of community. The area is served by some of Raleigh's top public, magnet, and private schools, offering strong academic programs, dedicated staff, and a range of extracurricular opportunities. In addition to educational opportunities, North Hills is a safe and walkable neighborhood with plenty of parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities.

Families can often be seen enjoying the area's many amenities, making it a great place to raise children while enjoying the conveniences of urban living. Or Tepilo Honey Southern Kitchen and Bar for some delicious chicken and waffles. There's something for everyone and many restaurants even offer outdoor seating to enjoy the fresh air.

When it comes to cultural activities, the Village District does not disappoint. From regularly hosted events like art shows, live music, and seasonal festivals that bring the community together. Nearby, the Raleigh Little Theater and Pool and Park provide additional entertainment and recreational options.

Briar Creek's strategic location near several major highways is one of its standout features, especially for those who need to commute daily. Situated at intersection of I 540 and U. S. Route 70, Briar Creek provides quick and easy access to various parts of the Triangle area. including downtown Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.

Interstate 40 is also just a short drive away. For those who prefer not to drive, the area is served by several bus routes connecting to various parts of Raleigh and the surrounding region. making public transportation a viable option. Some of our favorite places are Konki Japanese House of Steak for your favorite tapenia and sushi rolls. or Carolina L House for a refreshing beverage. Brick's wood fired pizza or alpaca for Peruvian style rotisserie chicken, black beans and plantains. For recreation, Briar Creek is home to the Briar Creek Country Club.

which features a prestigious 18 hole golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. The country club offers a range of amenities including tennis courts, a swimming pool, and fitness center, and dining facilities making it a popular spot for both golfers and non golfers alike. Additionally, the neighborhood has several parks, walking trails, and greenway spaces to enjoy.

Earlier I mentioned I would be sharing some groundbreaking news, and here it is. A new tennis and paddle facility was just announced and is breaking ground. It's called Swing Racket Plus Paddle. It's the first of its kind and the largest racket focused facility in the world. The approximately 125 million dollar project near Briar Creek will feature various courts and a ping pong lounge with plenty of room for socializing.

The campus will even spotlight a restaurant led by a celebrity chef, Fabio Vivani. Whether you're new or a seasoned player, all are welcome. There will also be a walking trail running through the center of this 44 acre campus. which will connect swing to Raleigh's greenway trail system. There will be over 70 places to play different sports from 28 tennis courts, 25 pickleball courts, 15 paddle courts, and four beach tennis and volleyball courts.

Talk about having a ball. This facility is projected to be completed in 2026. Another major advantage of living in Briar Creek is its close proximity to Raleigh Durham International Airport, RDU, and the Research Triangle Park, RTP.
